We are excited to announce that Dr. Clint Wolk has recently been selected as a Ste. Genevieve High School Hall of Fame Inductee! His family and SG R-II administrators and staff orchestrated a surprise to share congratulations.
In attendance were his wife, Kenzie; his children, Aila (SGHS freshman), Nolan (SGMS 7th grader), and Stevie (BLE 5th grader); his parents, Mike and Sharon; and his aunt, Joann Gegg. SGHS Principal Dr. John Boyd, Jr., SG R-II Superintendent Dr. Paul Taylor, Athletic Director Dr. Jeff Nix, and Library Media Coordinator Carrie Staffen also attended to show their support and congratulations.
Dr. Clint Wolk is a 2000 SGHS alumnus who then went on to study optometry at the University of Missouri - St. Louis (UMSL), earning his doctorate in 2007. He returned to his hometown of Ste. Genevieve to practice optometry through Ste. Genevieve Vision Care. A three-time state champion wrestler and salutatorian of his high school class, Dr. Wolk has volunteered as a coach in multiple sports for more than a decade. In 2019, he founded the Ste. Gen Vision League, a 5-week youth wrestling program. Dr. Wolk’s dedication to mentoring youth was honored in 2024 with the Chamber of Commerce’s Presidential Leader Award. Dr. Wolk will be officially recognized at an SGHS event in the spring semester.
About the Ste. Genevieve High School Hall of Fame
The Ste. Genevieve High School Hall of Fame was established in 2012 to recognize and honor outstanding citizens who have led distinguished lives and who will serve as positive role models for all present and future students of the Ste. Genevieve County R-II School District. Hall of Fame nominees must have: graduated from Ste. Genevieve High School at least 15 years prior to being nominated, and their nomination must be based upon following qualifications: Leadership, Character, Achievement, Service, and Suitability as a Role Model to Students.
